Central vacuum
hoses are an essential part of your central vacuum system.
The differences in a hose can make a huge impact on your
cleaning experience. A heavy, uncomfortable central vacuum
hose will make your cleaning experience frustrating. At
Central Vacuum Supplier.com we offer a large selection of
high quality, lightweight central vacuum hoses. Not only are
the hoses we feature top-of-the-line in quality and comfort,
but they also come with an extension wand for a sure fit
into your carpet brush, hose hanger and free shipping
(excludes Alaska & Hawaii). You may be unsure of the type of
central vacuum hose you need, so we have taken the time to
explain the differences.
Electric Central Vacuum Hoses
For Use With Electric/Powered
Carpet Brushes
Electric central vacuum hoses are designed to be used with
electric powered carpet brushes. These hoses feature the low
voltage needed to activate the suction along with the 110V
electric needed to operate the electric carpet brush. If you
have an electric powered carpet brush, you will need an
electric hose. You can normally tell if your carpet brush is
electric by whether or not it has a cord. These cords most
commonly feature a 2-prong plug, but some older models may
have three prongs. Also, some electric carpet brushes may
have 2 prongs or pins built into the wand and will not have
an external cord. Homes with medium to high profile
carpeting or homes that may have carpeting in the future
should use an electric hose and carpet brush.
Low Voltage Central Vacuum Hoses
For
Use With Air Driven/Turbine Carpet Brushes & Other Bare
Floor Tools
Low voltage hoses are designed to be used with air driven
carpet brushes and bare floor tools. These non-electric
hoses feature and "On/Off" switch that allows you to turn
the suction on and off. These hoses will NOT allow you to
operate and electric carpet brush. These hoses are common in
homes with low pile carpeting, area rugs and bare floors.
Standard/Basic Central Vacuum Hoses
For
Use With Air Driven/Turbine Carpet Brushes & Other Bare
Floor Tools
Standard central vacuums are designed to be used with air
driven carpet brushes and bare floor tools. These hoses do
not have switches and will activate the central vacuum as
soon as it is plugged into the wall inlet. These hoses are
also commonly used in the garage, basement, patio, utility
room, etc.
